Michael Vai
Michael Vai co-founded The VAI Hospitality Group LLC in 2014 and has been in the restaurant industry for 51 years. He oversees the legal, financial, and administrative aspects of the business while fostering leadership growth within the company. Originally from Carle Place, Long Island, Michael enjoys golfing, motorcycling, and spending time with family and grandchildren. He’s also passionate about the shooting range and staying active at the gym.
Anthony Vai
As an Operating Partner, Anthony has been with VAI’s Hospitality Group since the beginning. He’s been in the industry for over 30 years, starting by pouring water in his dad’s restaurant at just six years old. Today, he oversees the front-of-house operations, with a focus on beverage and service management. His first love in restaurants was working at the front desk, where he learned how each element must come together to create a harmonious dining experience. Anthony used to be a picky eater, surviving on a diet of pasta, rice, bread, cheese, and meat—but he has since embraced a wider palate. In his downtime, he enjoys spending time with his wife and four children, riding motorcycles, golfing, and honing his grilling skills.
Sandy Georganas
Sandy Georganas is a partner at VAI’s Hospitality Group. With over 32 years of experience in the restaurant industry, including managing a successful janitorial cleaning company, Sandy plays an essential role in the day-to-day operations of VAI’s Hospitality Group. She oversees the offices, manages bills, supports staff, and is affectionately known as the “Restaurant Mom.” Sandy is passionate about giving back to the community and works on various philanthropic projects to help pay it forward. A talented baker, she has contributed a few of her own dessert recipes to the menu. Outside of work, family and friends are her top priority. When she does find rare free time, she enjoys gardening and hairstyling, but her true joy comes from connecting with guests and sharing in their special moments.
Pete Georganas
Pete Georganas brings over 35 years of entrepreneurial experience, having owned Naperville Shoes, Luggage, and Tailoring before selling the business in July. Known as “Project Pete” around the restaurant, he’s always fixing things, hanging décor, or lending a hand in the kitchen, earning him the nickname “Parsley Pete.” Pete’s talents extend beyond the restaurant, as he’s also a musician who has recorded several albums and plays multiple instruments, including guitar, drums, piano, bass, bouzouki, and keyboard. He regularly performs in a Greek band, showcasing his love for music by playing bouzouki and singing. Whether he’s greeting customers or repairing something around the restaurant, Pete’s presence brings a personal touch to the VAI’s experience.
